Silex holds one of the UK’s largest stocks of solid sheeting in 5 standard colours with a thickness range of 0.3mm-25mm (colour dependent).
Along with general purpose silicone sheet, Silex stocks an enormous range of ‘specialised sheeting’ to include our flame-retardant grade for EN45545-2-HL2 requirements; Vacuum Sheeting – an extra-wide option with special high tear, high elongation properties and Glass Reinforced Sheet with reduced stretch and elongation. Where sheeting is in contact with food, FDA and Metal Detectable grades are available.
Silicone sheeting performs at a wide range of temperatures, with standard grades performing at temperatures from -60°C to +230°C, our high temperature grade is also available from stock with maximum temperature of 300°C.
Silex can also offer moulded sheets for non-standard colours, hardness’s, or special grades – these are available in 362mm x 362mm and liquid cast sheets up 500mm x 500mm. We can mould sheeting with USP Class VI compound for use in medical applications.
